Michele Bachman and hypnosis-induced election patter

The House is now under Republican control, which many political experts have expected for months leading up to Election 2010 Mediaite writes that one pleasant surprise that originated from the night of Election 2010 is the CNBC interview between Matthews and victorious incumbent Sen. Michele Bachmann of the state of Minnesota. "Senator Bachmann, are you hypnotized tonight?" is the question an exasperated Matthews asked after Bachmann continually ignored his questions about subpoena power and investigation into un-American activities. All the re-elected senator could muster had been repetition of the Republican party line. Post resource – Chris Matthews to Michele Bachmann – Are you hypnotized? by Personal Money Store.

Michele Bachmann didn't want to participate within the witch hunt

Michele Bachmann perhaps did not want to spoil what had been going on since Election 2010 had been a Republican victory. Matthews has had her talk about Republicans a lot. She keeps saying that jobs and lower taxes are the most significant thing to consider now since "the American people have spoken" about what they want. However, Bachmann’s failure to even acknowledge Chris Matthews’ subpoena power question made for hilarious (some would say cringe-worthy) political television. Matthews is known as a commentator on shows like "Hardball." Michele Bachmann's responses were something he could not ignore because of this.

"Has somebody hypnotized you? Because no matter what I ask you, you give the very same answer," he said. Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and others on CNBC were chuckling as he said this.

Stated she is ‘Not quite so tingly on your leg’

Once Sen. Michele Bachmann (hypnotized or not) realized she could no longer press rewind and still conserve face in the interview, she made reference to the American individuals "coming out of their state of hypnosis," which had been at least a partial recovery, suggested the pundits. She then stated one last thing to Matthews. She said, "I think people are thrilled tonight. I imagine that thrill is probably perhaps not quite so tingly on your leg anymore; I'm not sure about that."

The interview got over when nobody understood what the tingly leg reference was about. This is why Matthews then explained the reference. Through the 2008 presidential election, Chris Matthews spoke about how he felt when Obama spoke. He said that he got a "tingle of excitement" when he heard Obama speaking. Matthews denies having used the word "tingle," however he does acknowledge having been excited.

Matthews entranced by Michele Bachman

Election 2010 has come to an end, and as expected, there was a Republican resurgence within the House of Representatives, capped by Minority Leader Rep. Boehner (R-Ohio) wresting Speaker of the House honors from Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) One memorable and unpredicted moment was Chris Matthews’ CNBC interview with victorious incumbent Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), writes Mediaite. "Senator Bachmann, are you hypnotized tonight?" is the question an exasperated Matthews asked after Bachmann continually ignored his questions about subpoena power and investigation into un-American activities. Bachmann didn't want to take part within the witch hunt

Michele Bachmann maybe didn't want to spoil what was going on since Election 2010 was a Republican victory. As she told Matthews time and time again, the Republicans feel that "the American people have spoken" and that jobs and lower taxes are paramount now. Chris Matthews' power was not even recognized by Bachmann. This made for political television that was quite humorous. Matthews is known as a commentator on shows like "Hardball." Michele Bachmann's responses were something he couldn't ignore because of this.

"Has someone hypnotized you? Because no matter what I ask you, you give the very same answer," his response was. Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and others on CNBC were chuckling as he said this.

’Not quite so tingly on your leg’ was the reaction

Senator Bachmann recovered a little bit after saying that the American people are "coming out of their trance" while in the interview. Matthews then heard her say, "I think people are thrilled tonight. I imagine that thrill is probably maybe not quite so tingly on your leg anymore; I'm not sure about that."

The interview got over while nobody understood what the tingly leg reference was about. This is why Matthews then explained the reference. Chris Matthews said that he got a "tingle of excitement" when Obama spoke during the 2008 presidential elections. Matthews said he didn't say the word "tingle." He did say he was excited that year though.

Elizabeth Smart kidnapper to stand trial after eight years of waiting

Years of outrageous behavior kept Mitchell from standing court for allegedly kidnapping Elizabeth Smart. More than eight years have passed since Elizabeth Smart went missing at age 14 in Salt Lake City. Jury selection for Mitchell’s court began Monday. Mitchell’s lawyers are planning an insanity defense in a trial where Mitchell’s wife, already convicted of the kidnapping, could testify against her husband.

When Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped

Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped on June 5, 2002. Her parents put each effort into finding her while the news soaked it all up. The teenager's abduction was known by everyone. The drifter who had worked at the Smart residence at one point, Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Ileen Barzee, were found with her nine months later just 18 miles from her home. Mitchell, who believed he had been a prophet named “Emmanuel,” had been charged along with his wife with kidnapping, sexual assault and burglary. In July 2005, the couple had been in a Utah district court and was ruled incompetent to stand trial.

Elizabeth Smart has a circumstance

Legal action begun again after Mitchell and Barzee were ruled competent to face court in 2008 after a Television movie came out about Elizabeth Smart. Barzee pleaded guilty in Nov 2009. This was to unlawful transportation of a minor and also the kidnapping. She ended up getting a prison sentence of 15 years. Barzee made a plea agreement to cooperate in both state and federal cases against Mitchell. In December 2009 a nurse observing Mitchell in a psychiatric ward said he was faking insane behavior to stay away from prosecution. Mitchell had been called a "misleading psychopath" by U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball who said he will stand court in March 2010.

Brian David Mitchell is on trial now

22 year old Elizabeth Smart testified. This occurred at a Mitchell competency hearing they had. She said that through the nine months she had been held by Mitchell, he sexually assaulted her numerous times when also taking her at knife point from her room. Mitchell’s attorneys unsuccessfully tried to force a change of venue, saying intense media coverage of the story in 2002 would make it impossible to discover impartial jurors. 35 potential jurors followed Mitchell into the federal courthouse in Salt Lake City Monday while he had been dressed as a prisoner rather than a patient.

A continuous job, not home ownership, is now the American fantasy

Fewer individuals claim home ownership now than at any time in the last ten years. Hardship in a depressed economy is depleting the number of United States of America homeowners at an increasing rate. Millions of Americans have lost their homes in the last five years and millions more are expected to within the near future.

home ownership decreasing gradually

There has been a regular decrease in home ownership in the U.S. in the last five year. The U.S. Census Bureau reports this. Since 2005, you will find 3 million less households being owned within the United States of America. In the 3rd quarter this year the rate of home ownership was 66.9 percent — the lowest rate since 1999. Within the first quarter of 2005, home ownership had been at 69.1 percent which was a peak. Right now, there is a bunch of economic uncertainty. This has made it harder for younger homeowners. In the 3rd quarter 39.2 percent of people younger than 35 owned homes, a decline of 9 percent since 2005.

What took place with the housing industry

The dropping of homeownership is bad. The California budget ends up doing the exact same thing. U.S. existing home sales in September dropped 19 percent from the year before. The current annual rate of 307,000 existing home sales is a historic low. The lack of sales continues to drive down home prices. Based on the census Bureau, many homes are vacant right now. 18.8 million homes are this way at present. Below normal, a 600,000 a year annual rate is what housing starts this year are. Less individuals will rent or form new households, Cable News Network reports. Families are doubling up and younger individuals are living with more roommates.

home ownership and the foreclosure turmoil

There ought to be a ton of foreclosures this year. In fact the amount is expected to a million. If unemployment stays this high, there will be more homes foreclosed on. In 2011, the rate will be even higher. Morgan Stanley came out with a record on this. It said that about 3.1 million mortgage holders will likely be foreclosed on as they are seriously delinquent. Half of the 4 million extra homeowners falling behind are expected to end un foreclosures soon. About 11 million homes could be foreclosed on at any time.

Gretchen Jones wins the Season 8 Project Runway finale

Project Runway Season 8 was a season of big surprises. The biggest surprise came in the Project Runway finale results. The winner of this year’s Project Runway was a hotly discussed subject — and will probably continue to be.

The eighth season of ‘Project Runway’

Season 8 of “Project Runway” is the third season that the show was on Lifetime Network. Seventeen contestants started out the season, and over 14 episodes they were narrowed down to just one winner. The hour-and-a-half episodes swapped out “Models of the Runway” and utilized the extra half hour mostly for product placement.

’Project Runway’ ends with a final episode

There had been a season recap at the beginning of the "Project Runway" finale this year. The "Project Runway" finale didn't actually happen until after a long discussion of the season 8 "Project Runway" contestants talking about their experience that season. Usually, the "Project Runway" finale is filled with drama. This year, it wasn't and ran really well. Andy was almost right away discounted by the judges for his green-and-silver collection. The judges had a hard time deciding between Gretchen and Mondo though. They were both fabulous. Gretchen's 1970s casual line "had her finger on the pulse of fashion" as outlined by Nina and Michael. Guest judge Jessica Simpson and the show’s host Heidi Klum, however, thought that Mondo deserved to win for his creativity and style. When the judges are choosing, a two against one vote will always win. This meant Gretchen won the competition.

What is the ‘Project Runway’ direction

Since the season 6 move to Lifetime, “Project Runway” finale shows seem to have gotten a growing number of predictable. When the show was on Bravo TV, it appeared that the judges were making decisions based on the actual clothes in front of them. The clothes didn't seem to matter as much in season 8 of "Project Runway." This was just like Season 6 and Season 7 were. During season 8, clothing that should have gotten designers eliminated did not because they were “good for TV” personalities. There's also too much product placement now. This was shown with the additional half hour dedicated practically entirely to that. Season 8 of "Project Runway" showed one thing to everybody watching. It isn't about the clothes anymore. If Gretchen’s winning “rewind” designs are where fashion is going, we have yet to see it within the actual fashion on the street.

Marine Corps Museum gets another volley from Pentagon shooter

The Marine Corps Museum was targeted by the Pentagon shooter again, authorities found Friday morning. A Pentagon shooting and bullet holes in two nearby Marine Corps facilities are traced to the same gun. The FBI suspects tests will tie the latest event to the weapon as well. Security has been tightened at the Pentagon, where the Marine Corps Marathon will pass by on Sunday.

Marine Corps Museum had more bullet holes

More bullet holes were found on the exterior of the Marine Corps Museum in Virgina near Washington, D.C., Friday morning. As outlined by CNN, the bullet holes were on the side of the building. The side facing Interstate 95 was where the holes were found. Sometime within the middle of the night, it is likely that someone shot from the interstate, says the FBI. At the time, there wasn't any person within the building. The Marine Corps Museum was shot at in the last two weeks once before the Thursday shooting. The FBI has linked a shooting less than two weeks ago at the museum to shots fired at the Pentagon and a nearby Marine Corps recruiting station.

The Pentagon shooter going in a specific direction

The string of shootings at military buildings around Washington started on Oct. 17 with the first attack on the Marine Corps Museum. Police and FBI had to start investigating the Pentagon just two days later. This had been because two windows were shattered with six shots from a shooting. The Marine Corps recruiting station had been then shot at. The FBI came to the conclusion the very same high-powered rifle had been involved in all three incidents. There aren't any suspects and nobody has been hurt.

Marine Corps Marathon makes security better

The shooter is being asked to surrender by the FBI. MSNBC spoke with John Perrin who’s an FBI Washington special agent. He said the problem the shooter has isn't with the military, rather is will with Marine Corps. Whoever the shooter is, they aren't trying to hurt anyone. They've been doing anything specifically to stay away from hurting people. Sunday's Marine Corps marathon will end up having more security than normal as a result of this, the Pentagon said. The Defense Department's headquarters may have 30,000 marathon runners going by it.
