Bank of America’s Coral Gables hostage situation
FBI sources are telling reporters that before the Coral Gables Bank of America opened at 9 a.m. this morning, an employee was kidnapped from his home. The kidnapper forced the individual to strap a bomb to himself and go into Coral Gables Bank of America. By eight within the morning, police, FBI, and SWAT teams were on the scene of the Coral Gables bank. U.S. 1 in both directions, Metrorail, the nearby University of Miami, and two elementary schools were all locked down during the response.
Robbery and home attack in Miami area linked
The bank robbery in Miami has been connected to a home attack on Thurs — an invasion that might have also been a kidnapping. The perpetrators are nevertheless at-large. Police have asked residents to keep an eye out for a red Mustang with two individuals driving it.
