Randy Quaid police arrest has a sequel

Some individuals have to learn the hard way. It’s not known if it was deliberate or not, however Randy Quaid and Evi Quaid, his wife, were imprisoned for not paying a hotel expenses and charged with attempting to defraud an inn. The pair headed home after posting bail. It isn’t a mystery why it got so much attention last year; it isn’t as if he could not afford it. The alleged hotel stiffing occurred in California. The Quaids, though, were arrested in Texas. Lately, both were arrested again for illegally residing at a property they used to own but had sold in Santa Barbara.

Quaid arrested for bypassing on lodging expenses

The first event that got Quaid and Evi Quaid in lawful hot water occurred last year. The first event occurred on Sept. 30, 2009. The Quaids were taken into custody having been suspected to be defrauding an inn. They stayed a night at a posh lodge in California, and forgot or refused to pay for the night. A warrant was issued for their arrests, and they were picked up in Texas. After posting bail, both missed a series of court dates. Evi Quaid was put on probation and had to do community service after they eventually resurfaced. It seemed as if things were back to normal, according to CNN, and also the Quaids also settled the hotel bill.

The past arrest did not mean squat

Some things tend to stick in a persons’ memory. One of them is normally selling a house. Randy and Evi Quaid must have some type of problem with memory, as selling the home did not register. The two sold a property they owned in Santa Barbara years ago. They were just lately arrested for taking up residence illegally in the guest house on the property. Apparently, the two were certain they still owned the property, despite paperwork produced to the contrary. Police arrested both of them for burglary, as outlined by ABC. Though the home was previously owned by the Quaids, it appears odd that they chose the guest house to squat in.

Reasoning seems slim

There hasn’t been a comment on either arrest from Dennis Quaid, Randy Quaid’s younger brother. Hollywood seems to produce a unique breed of crazy. Perhaps the concept of not breaking the law does not occur to the Quaids, or others like Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton.
