Recessionomics - Saint Nick burglarizes yacht club

As Christmas 2010 approaches, seems like that Santa’s sleigh is somewhat lighter than it has been in years past. Retail sales are up, however Santa’s load is intense. He needs something to take the pressure off this holiday season. Sadly, seems like that change might have involved illegal activity. "Santa Claus burglarizes yacht club" is the cautionary tale for modern youth, reports The Providence Journal. Source of article – Recessionomics – Santa Claus robs yacht club by MoneyBlogNewz.

Santa Claus takes instead of gives

Yes, there is a Santa, and that terrible Santa Claus needs spending money like you wouldn’t believe. Robbing a liquor store would be one thing, however when Saint Nick burglarizes a yacht club, you know he’s kicking it upscale. Lt. Raymond Blinn of the Providence Police Department noted that on Sunday at about 7 p.m. a man dressed as Santa Claus entered the East Providence Yacht Club on Pier Road. His gift of toys was not to give away, however rather to fill up with cash. It was noted that Saint Nick wasn't so saintly when he pulled out what appeared to be a gun of some type.

Fortunately nobody was injured at the yacht club, and Santa Claus didn't turn into a total Grinch and did not even fire his gun.

Merry Christmas

When individuals think of Santa Claus they’re more likely to think of a buck than a buckshot, so this even confused many. Many wonder why Santa Claus would do something so horrendous. Santa Claus was also wearing jeans, which is not so traditional. You would think a man who can fly up and down chimneys would not need a gun or conduct his robberies during business hours.

Santa Claus did get away, but he is still being hunted by area police.
