Murkowski will take lead in AK vote count up and blasts Palin

The Alaska vote count up doesn’t appear to be going Joe Miller’s way, as Murkowski has taken the head. Miller is trying to receive some of the votes voided through a lawsuit in federal judge. In a recent interview, Murkowksi also fired some shots across Sarah Palin’s bow.

Murkowski gaining lead in Alaska vote count up

Miller is now behind Lisa Murkowski within the Alaska Senate election. This has been an Alaska vote count that has been debated a ton. Murkowski launched a write-in campaign after Miller won an upset victory over Murkowski within the Alaska Republican primary, much to the delight of former governor Palin. As a Tea Party Republican, Miller had Palin backing him. He had her endorsement. It will not matter much for Miller to be endorsed by Palin anymore. Over Miller, Murkowski has a lead of 92,164 to 90,458. This is what the Anchorage Daily News reports. There are nevertheless over 8,000 ballots that remain to be counted, however so far 97 percent of write-in ballots have gone to Murkowski. The court has not granted anything to Miller yet even though he has challenged seven,601 of t! he votes. The hope for Murkowski is the law will allow the intent to be interpreted.

A blast within the face from Murkowski to Palin

Palin and Murkowski have a somewhat bitter history, as Palin has taken numerous swipes at Murkowski within the press. A President needs "leadership skills" that Palin does not have while Palin also "lacks intellectual curiosity" according to Murkowski. Columbia Broadcasting System reports that she said this in an interview with Katie Couric. She pointed out that she was not engaged in office at all while being governor for half a term. She then explained that Palin got out as fast as she could afterwards.

Final vote count up almost there

The last ballots are being reviewed and gathered which signifies the last Alaska vote count will be here shortly. While the lawsuit by Miller is still pending, the suit does not appear to be progressing easily and might turn out to be tossed. Should Murkowski win, it will be the 1st write-in candidate elected to office in over 50 years.
