Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is rich and famous — he won’t need a loan anytime soon. As proven by the video of Jerry Jones going wild on the internet, sometimes the price of fame is steep. Shot with a cell phone camera, the Jerry Jones drunk video involves some juicy comments about Tim Tebow, Bill Parcells and Tony Romo.
The Cell phone caught Jerry Jones drunk
The Jerry Jones video of him drunk was in an unknown bar, where Jones was drinking a couple of cocktails with some drinking buddies. Someone with their cell phone decided to take advantage of the moment and shoot Jones as he answered questions about Romo, Parcells, and Tebow. The video first showed up on Deadspin.com, which no doubt will collect a large pay day from all the attention.
What is on Jerry Jones mind
Within the video, Jerry Jones is heard calling Tony Romo a “miracle,” despite the fact that numerous fans of the Cowboys would clearly disagree if they have memories of Super Bowl winners Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. The video picture quality is poor. With the poor lighting and grainy picture quality, you are able to barely see Jones. But the audio is priceless.
Jerry Jones was letting the whiskey do his talking
The Jerry Jones video of him drunk isn't the first time the man from Arkansas has titillated Texans with alcohol fueled commentary. After his Cowboys won the 1993 Super Bowl, media reports appeared where Jones said “any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls” referring to the players Jones himself drafted and signed. When at a cocktail party, Jones told reporters that he wanted to replace the coach for the Cowboys, Jimmy Johnson, who was an old college buddy, with previous University of Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer. The morning after that he said it "was the whiskey talking."The morning after that happened, he said is "was the whiskey talking."
While drinking, Jones disses Parcells and Tebow
Within the drunk video of Jones, the Cowboys owner said that college phenom Tim Tebow would never get on the field if Dallas had drafted him. Someone said that if Jones owned the Jacksonville Jaguars, off camera, he could draft Tebow just to sell jerseys. Then the conversation gets juicy. Jones then states "That's why I brought in Parcells." Apparently, bringing in Parcells was the signal Cowboys supporters needed to help Jones build his new stadium. His excellent opinion of Parcells: “Bill’s not worth a bleep. I love him."
Mouths being kept shut by Jerry Jones minions
Rich Dalrymple, the Cowboys’ director of public relations, told the Dallas Morning News the club had no comment. The Dallas Morning News couldn't reach the one who resigned from the Cowboys after the 2006 season, Parcells, but he said his relationship with Jones was friendly. Jones could very well get into trouble with the NFL for is drunken rambling. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell uses a strict personal conduct policy to ride herd on players and owners in the league. You might want to get your credit card ready Jerry.
With cash, Jerry Jones puts food in mouth
Jerry Jones’ mouth has gotten him in trouble with the league before. Jones was fined $ 25,000 for publicly criticizing referee Ed Hochuli after Hochuli made a controversial call in a game between the San Diego Chargers and also the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14, 2008. On his radio show, he said Hochuli was one of the most criticized officials in the NFL. In 2009, Jones drew a six-figure fine for violating a gag order on labor issues.
