Susan Powell Still Missing, Idaho Remains Not A Match

Despite the hope of investigators, the body found in Ammon, Idaho did not match missing Utah woman Susan Powell. The body, however, did not match the explanation of missing West Valley, Utah resident Susan Powell. To keep the search for Susan Powell going since December of 2009, friends and family have chipped in instant cash loans.

Susan Powell disappeared in December

In December of 2009, Susan Powell was reported missing. Susan is the mother of two young boys. On Monday morning, all four family members were reported as missing. However, Susan Powell’s husband Josh and two kids resurfaced on Monday. Josh Powell took the children camping, and said that Susan Powell had been at home. When the children did not show up to daycare on Monday and Susan and Josh did not report to work, a missing person’s report was filed. Susan Powell’s wallet, purse, cell phone and automobile were all at the house.

Josh Powell named as ‘person of interest’ in Susan Powell disappearance

The investigating police department named Susan Powell’s husband as a person of interest. The exact same day that Susan Powell disappeared, her husband used instant cash to put several hundred miles on a rental automobile. Since Susan Powell disappeared, Josh has moved with his family to Washington state. Josh Powell has not been arrested for Susan Powell’s disappearance, and detectives say only that interviews with him left “more questions than answers”.

Body of Susan Powell not found in Idaho

Over the last weekend, a person looking for better cell phone reception near Ammon, Idaho, stumbled over a badly decomposed body. Because Ammon, just outside of Idaho Falls, is within a day’s drive of West Valley City, detectives contacted those investigating Susan Powell’s disappearance. Investigators in both Idaho and Utah have confirmed that Susan Powell’s body is not the one found in Ammon. Confirming the identity of the body could take several weeks.
